The Night Watch – Sergei Lukyanenko Published in the UK by William Heinemann, 2006
Mint, unread. Flatsigned to title page by the author.Translated from Russian by Andrew Bromfield, this is the first book in a trilogy. It was released in Russia in 2005, has already sold over 1 million hardbacks, and has become a huge cult novel. It was filmed in Russia, going on general release there in 2004 and was an instant hit, becoming the highest-grossing Russian release ever. It grossed US$16.7 million in Russia alone, thus making more money in Russia than The Lord of The Rings. One year after the Russian release, the international distribution began and by mid-October 2005, it had been released in most European countries. On 3 March 2006 it was released across the USA.
The author briefly visited the UK from his Moscow home in June/July 2006, and whilst here signed a very small number of what is already a tiny print run in hardback. Signed copies of this highly-collectible book are very hard to find. Dustjacket protected in a mylar cover and kept in a smoke-free environment from new
